Through Black Spruce (2018)
Very good movie
I thought this movie was very good. The way they ran two stories at once was interesting. As much as I love Tanaya Beaty, the part with her uncle Will dealing with a bunch of thugs for something he didn't do was done well. I wish Annie's journey had a better outcome, but the ending was satisfying never the less. Regardless how you feel about the story line, the acting is superb.
Secret Headquarters (2022)
This was done pretty good. I enjoyed it personally.
I really enjoyed this movie. I have know idea who can give this a 1. It may not be a blockbuster, but certainly watchable and fun. I know these types of movies have been done so many times, but this movie was pretty good. The CGI was done well. I thought the kids in the cast were good also. Momona Tamada was the standout as in very good. Don't be a miserable ... and just enjoy the movie. It's decent!
Spider-Man: Far from Home (2019)
I really liked the movie.
I came late too the MCU party. I have watched every Marvel movie multiple times. For some reason Spider Man was the last of the movies I started watching. I watched all of them but never really got into Spider Man. I thought the movie was good, but MJ was one of my favorite parts. Zendaya's dark quiet awkward character was funny and adorable. I just loved her in this movie. I have two more to watch. I am watching the latest one tonight. Spidey is growing on me.
The Twilight Zone (2019)
Political garbage.
Once again its nothing but political liberal propaganda. This does nothing, I mean nothing at all to even try to resemble the Twilight Zone and the writers know it.
Warrior Nun (2020)
I am seriously enjoying this show.
I figured I would pick some random Netflix show and try it out. I went with Warrior Nun thinking that would last all of 5 minutes before I switched to something else. I'm on episode 5 already. This is actually a very good show. I wish they went with another season or two. All of the character are strong. When Shotgun Mary kicks Ava off the cliff was priceless. I laughed for a good couple of minutes, and Sister Lillith was a serious badass. The acting is pretty strong in this show.
Firestarter: Rekindled (2002)
I liked it myself
I thought this was good. I went to the movies and saw the original. I think Marguerite Moreau did a really good job as older Charlie. It's worth watching just for her. All in all I think it was good.
Doctor Zhivago (2002)
Very good movie
The original was my mothers favorite movie. Out of nowhere today I decided to watch it. It took my a little while until I realized I was watching the second version. I loved this movie. I still haven't seen the original, but I thought this version was done very well.
Halo (2022)
What a good begging to a series. Loved it.
I have never played Halo, but I know the story well. I understand the gamers not being happy. Like the Witcher, it's geared for a wider audience. I myself love the show so far. Sorry gamers,
1883 (2021)
Excellent . The acting is fantastic.
I am a big fan of Yellowstone. 1883 is completely different. It really spotlights the hell they went through during that time period. Faith Hill really surprised me. For not being an actor she absolutely kicks ars in this show. My wife even loves this show and it's not her style. Good job Sheridan.
The Stand (2020)
This could have been much better. Terrible editing. Even worse acting.
First of all picking the most hateful woman on this planet to play Mother Abigail killed this show before it even started. The first episode was good. The show went downhill rather quickly. It's just a mess without any structure. Most of the actors are good, just not in this show.
Captain Marvel (2019)
Don't listen to the drama queens. This movie is good.
After reading the bad reviews saying this movie is slow, all about women bashing men, jumps around to much, too much CGI, ect... I didn't want to waste my time watching it. I finally watched the movie after getting Disney+ to watch the Mandalorian. Capt. Marvel was very good. I haven't laughed that hard at a Marvel movie in a long time. I thought Brie Larson was good, but lacked emotion. I did like her dry sense of humor. I think the introduction to Nick Fury's character was good. Fury and Danvers interacted very good together. Sam Jackson makes this movie, but that not surprising. He makes every movie good. The whole cast was good including the cat. The plot was good. You have to have a serious chip on your shoulder not to like this movie. If you're not a snowflake or a drama queen. WATCH THIS MOVIE.
Rim of the World (2019)
If you seriously lack parenting skills. You and your little ones loved this movie.
This was a boring, horrible attempt at 80s and 90s classics. If you take Darius out of the movie it would have helped a great deal. Every time he speaks it turns ghetto and destroys any chance of being watchable. The Asian girl was about the only highlight of the movie. If you are a stoner and seriously lack parenting skills, you enjoyed this movie with your little kids.
Against the Wild (2013)
Not bad. Stop being so critical and just enjoy the movie.
I found myself watching this movie when Natasha's name came up in the opening credits. I started watching the movie pretty much knowing how it was going too play out, and gave into consideration that there were young actors in this movie. I know the plot was predictable. I have an open mind and do not dwell on every little thing, so I just watched the whole movie. One reviewer talked about all the cliché's and how they kept fast forwarding. I hope my attention span never becomes that short. Any way, I watched the movie for what it was, and actually enjoyed it. It's a fun movie for the whole family. Any movie with kids finding their way through the wilderness, two loving parents finding their way through a tough time, bears, wolves and a faithful family dog that saves the day is OK with me!!
Aloha (2015)
A feel good movie that a certain crowd would never get!!
I am glad I did not pay attention to the reviews on this one. All of the "What did I just watch" or "Its all over the place" etc... reviews obviously came from the How I met your mother crowd. They would never be able to comprehend this movie. This was a very good film. It was not all over the place, but takes some intelligence to get it. The characters were excellent. The love story builds into a wonderful ending. Emma Stone was terrific, and the story line with Rachel Mcadams was heartfelt. The story shows respect for the Hawaiian culture, and the natives. It also shows how a rich madman combined with our military could destroy our way of life. This was a multi layered movie, and in no way hard to understand.
