The Wanderers (1979)
This movie is IT!
Talk about an all timer.... From the opening scene to the poker play, it shows all sides of the coming of age story. You love the characters, you wish they would be more at times and less at others. It's a real movie in terms of emotional flow and happenstance of young men and the precarious situations they put themselves in with a back-storied mafia twist at the same time. This movie embodies racism and defeats it at the same time. Back when things were more tribal so to speak, even more so than now, and they still found a way. I give this movie two thumbs up and it's a movie for anyone mature enough to comprehend.
Hustle (2022)
Let's be honest about basketball
And the honesty starts with the racism white men get while playing the sport. Whites men in basketball even to this day are treated like Jackie Robinson was back in the day. Called whiteboy, degraded, overlooked, underrated, disrespected, the list goes on. And this movie fails to show the true racism white men experience while playing basketball.
Space Force (2020)
Woke gone broke
Ehh, it's super woke as the title says. Steve carrell mentions how he now knows it's inappropriate to dress as a hobo like he did for Halloween in 6th grade or how he says he his daughter can talk to him about anything, girls boys or dinosaurs, Malkovich and his horrible voice/speaking mentions he dated the male scientist from blah blah at one point for a few quick examples but there are many others. Also, sorry but uh... Steve Carrell has one form of comedic acting and it's old by now, childish, played out and you can't take him serious whatsoever which is why they made him for the role because Trump made Space Force to strengthen the nation and the left is trying their best to make a mockery of it as if it's not ultimately demeaning themselves at the same time. Dunning-Kruger once again runs strong in the leftist bloodline.
Yellowjackets (2021)
One episode in and I think I'm done
Not sure what's going on but they missed me with the whole spooky suspense. It's super slow and from what I read it stays that way. Lots of scenes are complete filler scenes with no purpose other than to make the episode long enough to consider it an episode, but lots of it doesnt in anyway seem relevant or entertaining. It's kinda boring honestly. The whole back and forth kinda ruins it, because we want to know what happened and that's why we are watching the show, but they hired prominent old women compared to the unknown kids to do half the show so they want to really focus on that side and it's totally irrelevant. No one cares about a recap of something we don't even know about... get to the actual story and what happened in the crash and after. Stop showing these women grown after the fact like we care.
Ozark (2017)
A lot of downtime talking and fast forwarding
Like the headline says, it's slow, boring and a lot of talking along futile plotting basically to keep people listening but not truly entertained. I've fast forwarded several scenes and basically all of them where the people are just sitting around having heart to hearts, LOTS OF THAT. LOTS OF DOWNTIME AND IRRELEVANT TALKING SCENES, oh and the Jonah kid is horrendous.
Archive 81 (2022)
The monotone main character is lifeless
As the headline reads, the main character is completely monotone and the acting suffers horribly for it. The guy would say his father was just beheaded or that he won the lottery with the same calm voice and no emotion, it's horrible and super annoying as well. I don't think I'll be able to finish one episode.
Dexter: New Blood (2021)
Stop after 9 episodes like they should have
Like the title says, watch the first 9 and skip the finale. It's literally the worst ending they could have made. I won't watch the show with Dexter dead even if they try to make another season with his son. But it's not the same. Just make a new show and don't call it Dexter, cause again, Dexter is dead and the show is too.
The Shrink Next Door (2021)
Boring and slow
At some point Marty has to stop being a completely manipulated idiot. Or get on with the story and get will Ferrell out of the show and find a new victim for Paul Rudd.

Cheating cheating?
I just can't believe they made you feel bad about the cheating wife as if it was vindicated that she did so. Disgusting.
Dirty John (2018)
Good show
I just wanted to say, Connie Brittons acting was horrible and made the show not as good as it could have been.
WandaVision: Now in Color (2021)
Hoping it picks up
Honestly been slow cheesy and annoying. Maybe I'll wait for the season to be over in hopes it gets good and i can avoid the slow drag wait. Looks like it's leading to something but I don't really care, it truly hasn't been good.
WandaVision (2021)
So far so nothing
3 episodes in, and nothing has happened. It's slow, annoying and I'll probably watch after the season is over so I can binge it in hopes of it getting better and avoid the slow drag wait.
The Wrong Missy (2020)
Hilarious
If you want to watch something funny, give this a try. Ignore the negative reviews, they are the dry humor rather read a book and go to bed at 8pm types.
Joker (2019)
Slow and way overrated based on these 9 and 10* reviews.
Move is slow. It's mainly about mental illness. Not The Joker. And I don't wanna hear Phoenix even holds a candle to Ledgers Joker. It's not close. Ledger is a legend and Phoenix is something to forget. For one, he is a soft, weak, milquetoast man (his character). It is surrounded by darkness but not the kind you like or can enjoy. It's a sad & dreary played out movie that takes too long like someone that speaks a lot but doesn't say much. He isn't the Joker till roughly 20-25 minutes left. To sum it up, he smokes a cigarette, dances in a twirl, gets humiliated and laughs while crying for 3/4 of the movie. Spare me. It wasn't very good and is definitely overhyped. But I'm glad De Niro got his head blown off.
It Chapter Two (2019)
If I went alone I'd have walked out
More of a slow romantic comedy for the most part. Not scary at all. It was trash.. slow, cheesy and completely fake. I mean zombies driving cars, a normal human man getting stabbed in his heart damn near and didn't effect him, a spider head. I mean it was horrible. I went with someone but if I had went alone I'd have walked out, and I've never ever even contemplated doing that. I literally would have. I was on the edge of my seat, only bc I was ready to leave!!! It's 3 hours of my life I'll never get back and it was pulling teeth to get through it. One of the worst movies I've ever seen and you'd have to pay me literally hundreds of dollars to watch again fully. Not sure how much exactly but it would hundreds if not a cool 1k. Didn't feel like IT. Felt like another movie entirely.
