Oh Naui Gwishinnim (2015)
Brilliant mix of everything!
This amazing show combines comedy, drama, romance, and supernatural elements in a way that is not easy to pull off, let alone do brilliantly.
Timid Na Bong Sun(Park Bo-Young) gets possessed by the ghost of a confident young woman who seeks to solve her one unfinished business by hooking up with Bong Sun's boss, famous chef Kang Sun Woo(Jo Jung-Suk).
Park Bo-Young's performance is characterized by her ability to adapt throughout the series. There is a subtle, underlying chemistry between her and Jo Jung-Suk(whose characters inability to form sentences and ramble through what he's trying to say is quite endearing, especially when he's nervous!), that translates beautifully to their on screen chemistry between their characters.
I am watching my first Korean drama series and I must say I am hooked after watching Oh My Ghost and its heartwarming storyline and amazing cast.

Yinglu Wang is Brilliant!
As I was lost in the YouTube rabbit hole, I came across shorts and clips of this show and was immediately captivated by Yinglu Wang's portrayal of Feng BaoBao.
The life of Chu Lan (Yuchang Peng) is turned upside down when he faces relentless pursuit by a mysterious organization for skills that are highly sought after. It is his obscure origins that hold the key to a battle that lies ahead with the aid of enigmatic companions.
The chemistry between Yuchang and Yinglu is evident in their on-screen characters, as well as in their co-stars. A perfect mix of brilliant casting where each character/actor brings exceptional performances but isn't limited to casting alone.
CGI, cinematography, costumes, staging, editing, and the music are all excellent! In this case, the director seems to have let the actors do their work, which has allowed something amazing to be captured on screen.
Want to experience an intricate storyline with brilliant characters, a fantasy sci-fi/fantasy twist (in some places) and a mix of dark comedy and drama? Then give it a go.
Geostorm (2017)
Abbie Cornish very entertaining
The action and acting in the movie were exaggerated, but it seemed to be the intentional style. The overactive energy is reflected in the chaotic extremities of the weather, which seems to be the main character in the movie.
Numerous countries are on the brink of a Geostorm caused by the Dutch Boy Program, a preventive measure against natural calamities. Jake Lawson (portrayed by Gerard Butler), a renowned technology designer, and his brother Max (played by Jim Sturgess) are entrusted with the monumental responsibility of rescuing humanity.
With Sarah - Abbie Cornish lending her remarkable talents to this film, I wholeheartedly suggest it to anyone seeking a blend of thrilling action, suspenseful moments, and small amounts of emotional scenes.

CEO Meets Single Mum
Take one CEO Shen An(Park Hae Jin), add a single mom Meng Chu Xia(Li Fei Er), and a 15y.o. Meng Xiang(Wu Lei), add a meddling crazy mum(Cheng Pei Pei), vengeful sister Meng Chen Shuang(Esther Wang), pretend sister and some amazing supportive friends, what do you get? A storyline of mayhem, mischief, mouthy teens, romance and a serious case of revenge and spite.
All characters played brilliantly by all actors, making this a more likeable and stand out drama with great chemistry between characters.
It's not your typical CEO falls for ordinary girl, which gave the story a bit of a twist, especially as the timeline went along and a lot of information was purposely left out until the very end. Quite a difficult storyline to pull off well, but done quite brilliantly for Far Away Love.
Definitely worth a watch!

Cooking is Love Made Visible
Gu Sheng Nan. (Zhao Lu Si) showcases her true potential as a chef when an aggravating situation, and ill-fated misunderstanding, positions her against her prospective boss, the sharp-tongued CEO, Lu Jin(Lin Yu Shen).
Lu Jin, a prodigious entrepreneur, sets out to condemn the Zijing Hotel, changing his mind when he serendipitously comes across one of Sheng Nan's dishes. United by their passion for food, this improbable duo forges an unforeseen connection that takes them to an unanticipated destination.
In this romantic tale, you will find an age gap romance that is characterized by perfect chemistry, quick-witted one-liners, dramatic love rivals, obstacles, and everyday life. There's no better way to spend a rainy day than by watching this series with a bowl of popcorn in hand.
Chenxiang ru xie · Chenxiang zhong hua (2022)
A Strong Romantic Fantasy!
Based on the novel Chen Xiang Ru Xie by Su Mo, Immortal Samsara follows Ying Yuan (Cheng Yi) the Sovereign Lord and protector of a fantastic heavenly realm inhabited by deities and spirits who live long, peaceful lives above the clouds, and Yan Dan (Yang Zi), one of two rare four-leaf Lotus Blossoms who just wants to live a care-free life.
When both lives entwine, consequences, misunderstands, secrets and conspiracy is the name of the game, and romance can be what breaks everything in between.
A strong romantic fantasy drama with brilliant character performances, visually stunning CGI and cinematography as well as a beautiful romantic storyline, many great action sequences and some serious tearjerker moments thrown in!
Chong zi (2023)
I'm HOOKED!
The Journey of Chong Zi takes you on an unforgettable journey of self-discovery and adventure.
The Journey of Chong Zi is based on the novel of the same name by Shu Ke, which tells the love story over three lifetimes between the disciple Chong Zi (Yang Chaoyue), a young girl born with evil miasma and destined to become a demon, and master Luo Yin fan(Jeremy Tsui), who is supreme immortal and handsome Shifu(Teacher/Master).
It's the first C-Drama I've watched since The Great Wall starring Matt Damon, and am super glad I took a chance to watch this unforgettable journey of self-discovery, adventure and romance.
From casting, directing, editing and dramatic CGI, this series had me hooked with its unhurried story building, stellar leading man performance by Jeremy Tsui and beautifully orchestrated costume drama, packaged into The Journey of Chong Zi.
Xing han can lan (2022)
A Standout of Dramatic brilliance!
In the Chinese drama Love of the Galaxy, based on the novel by Guan Xin Ze, a remarkable, emotional plot portrayed with stunning cinematography, impressive sets, and finally a stellar cast bringing to life the intricacies of the characters. It's an outstanding display of brilliance in this historical Chinese drama.
A powerful general with secrets of his own, Lin Buyi(Wu Lei) has a lot to hide. His forever is found as soon as he sees the cynical Cheng Shaoshang (Zhao Lusi). Her trust, however, is distorted by her upbringing or lack thereof, which turns what should be an epic love story into a rollercoaster of plotting, misunderstandings, and poor communication, putting them both on a path of uncertainty.
Overall Love of the Galaxys compelling storyline is an exceptional display of when everything falls into place.
The standout performance for me was the character Emperor Wen, portrayed by Bao Jianfeng.
His performance was outstanding, witty, terrific timing, and the most loveable goof of the entire show.
The Resident (2018)
Took a chance!
I took a chance on this one, seeing Emily VanCamp in the credits, and Matt Czuchry, thought might be good......I just finished binge watching the first season on Netflix!
It's a good mix of drama, comedy, real life issues regarding hospital life and and deeper look into cost, patient care, cover ups, and not too far fetched from reality.
It's a mix of, Greys Anatomy, House, and ER in one. I liked it.....alot!!
Captain Marvel (2019)
Great punchlines!
It was great as a background story, introducing Captain Marvel into the Avengers franchise perfectly, however still allowing room for more of Captain Marvels story, since it leaves some unanswered questions regarding certain artifacts from previous movies.
Captain Marvel is an extraterrestrial Kree warrior who finds herself caught in the middle of an intergalactic battle between her people and the Skrulls. Living on Earth in 1995, she keeps having recurring memories of another life as U.S. Air Force pilot Carol Danvers. With help from Nick Fury, Captain Marvel tries to uncover the secrets of her past while harnessing her special superpowers to end the war with the evil Skrulls.
Brie Larson is brilliant with great presence, witty script for her character, with some awesome fun.
The shinner for this movie though.....is Samuel L Jacksons character Nick Fury! Dude has some awesome punchlines, and a pretty awesome, prominent role in the movie.
Thoroughly enjoyed watching it!!
The Hitman's Bodyguard (2017)
E.P.I.C.A.L.L.Y Funny!
From the beginning to the end, action, and hilarity!
Samuel L Jackson & Ryan Renolds have great chemistry on screen. The scenes are over the top, as are the two main leading men which made me laugh through most of the movie!
Imagine an empty theatre with 8 people, and all you hear is laughter and gasps(during certain parts), sitting up in your seat because you just don't know where to look and what's going to happen next.
ABSOLUTELY LOVED it! Looking for action where you just don't have to think, sit back and just enjoy whats going on? This is definitely a movie for you!
