How I Met Your Mother (2005)
This could have been one of my all time favourite shows
I recently found this on disney and thought I'd give it a go and I was not disappointed, I ended up binge watching it all over a few months and I loved it, every single night it had me laughing.
I loved the idea of the show straight off, getting to see everything that was going to happen would happen for a reason, believing that fate does exist and it all built up to Ted meeting his future wife, I'm an old romantic at heart and that really appealed to me.
The characters are all great but for me Barney stole the show, as I said they were all good but he was legen..... wait for it..... dary.
The last season building up to Barney and Robin's wedding was such a relief because those two definitely belonged together and I was so happy to see them finally get married.
So all good up until now, then we have the last 2 episodes, which in my opinion make it the worst ending to a TV series ever, after literally having the entire last season building up to Barney and Robin's wedding and them finally getting married in episode 22, in episode 23, a few years later, they get divorced, all that build up basically for nothing, why couldn't they have stayed together and had a happy ending, they both deserved it.
Then we come to the very last episode, after all this time, 9 seasons, 208 episodes we finally see Ted happy and it should've been a nice episode but instead no, we basically get a massive mule kick to the gut and they end it finding out that Ted's wife died a few years ago and nobody seems bothered about it, he just said she got sick and the kids say she's been gone for 6 years, nobody, apart from us viewers, seemed sad that she was gone, she was a good character, really nice and perfect for Ted, then the kids just tell Ted to go after Robin because he obviously still loves her. Ted and Robin were never meant to be together, they were never a match, if he was to end up with somebody other than Tracy then he should've ended up with Victoria in my opinion.
I am so gutted those last 2 episodes ruined a fantastic series
I'm still giving it a 9 though because there's an alternate ending out there which should have been the actual ending where Tracy doesn't die and that's the ending I would like to believe.
The Matrix Resurrections (2021)
Worse than I thought
I honestly cannot believe how bad this film actually is, I went into it with no expectations so I couldn't be disappointed but boy was I wrong, this is worse than I ever could have imagined, they have slowly got worse over the years, the original was fantastic, second was quite good, third had a lot of potential but the story was awful, this one just tops them all, it really is that bad, I honestly don't know how I lasted the full length of it, I really hope they don't do any more now.
Coming 2 America (2021)
I liked it
I was sceptical about this, really wasn't sure how it would turn out but I was pleasantly surprised, it's a good film, so many characters and references to the original that gives it that extra bit of charm, is it as good as the original? No but it's still a very good fun film
Christmas with the Kranks (2004)
Loved it
I don't why there is so much hate for this film, the cast are great and it's a brilliantly funny feel good christmas film, I've watched it every christmas since it first came out and enjoyed it just as much each year
The Mummy (2017)
Ignore the "critics"
I find most people are complaining about this film because they're comparing it to the Brendan Fraser films, why? Because it has the same name? That's ridiculous, shall we compare it to the 1930's Mummy, well it has the same name so yes we must apparently!
Judge it on it's own merits, it's got action, horror and a surprising amount of comedy, overall it is a very good film and I highly recommend seeing it.
Drive Angry (2011)
Fantastic
This film, simply put, is fantastic.
It has a great story line, Nick Cage is brilliant as normal and the 3D is outstanding need I say more?
Trust me don't go by the bad reviews from people that obviously don't like good films and don't judge it by how much it took at the cinema, if you like a good story and excellent 3D then just watch it for yourself and you won't be disappointed.
I also don't see why people are moaning that there are bullets and axes flying out the screen so often, isn't that what 3D is about? Stuff flying out the screen?
Not just for 3D, but the story line as well, this is by far the best 3D film I've ever seen.
Spin City (1996)
My opinions on Spin City and characters
Personally I think that this is one of, if not the best TV series ever made and although it was very sad to see Mike have to leave for personal reasons I still think that Charlie was a good replacement and that it continued to be as good with Charlie as it was with Mike because of the fantastic acting from the likes of Alan Ruck and Barry Bostwick.
My personal favourite character in the show would have to be Stuart Bondek because i think that he is just brilliant with the way he makes fun of everything and also turns everything into one big joke.
A very close second would be Mayor Randall Winston because he is so funny when he needs to be but then can be very serious as well such as when he saying goodbye to Mike at the end of series 4 and how he says that he has been like a son to him i thought that was very touching.
One of my other favourite TV series would have to be Scrubs which I know was made by the same people and that Michael J fox, Alan Ruck, Barry Bostwick, Alaxander Chaplin, Richard Kind, Michael Boatman and Heather Locklear have all starred in and they were all as good in that as they were when they did Spin City.
