If there’s one thing that Fred Durst is not, it’s predictable. Now, the Limp Bizkit frontman has surprised fans again, this time with another new look that amusingly rivals his recent “Dad Vibes” style.
Limp Bizkit performed their first live show since May 2022 on Thursday (March 30th) in Munich, Germany. The band had a roster of European/UK tour dates lined up for last year, but they had to postpone touring engagements due to Durst dealing with an undisclosed medical issue. Now, the nu-metal veterans are making up those missed shows.
During their 24-song set, Durst and company performed the song “Barnacle” off their latest album, Still Sucks, for the first time live. They also welcomed Wargasm’s Sam Matlock on the stage for a performance of “Take a Look Around.”

Queen Kwong performs a pole dance for a dirty rat in a new video for “The Mourning Song,” a track off her recent Couples Only album. “I’ve only ever loved one man and you weren’t that guy,” she sings over deceptively gentle indie-rock guitars. “But I tried and I tried.” As she describes the breakdown of a relationship — “You said it would be the end of my life,” she sings, “But at least I’m not dead inside” — it builds to her repeating, “Mourning will break your heart,...

A judge has dismissed Limp Bizkit guitarist Wes Borland’s request to sanction his ex-wife, Carré Kwong Callaway over opinions expressed in an album review, as well as an interview she gave to Bandcamp Daily.
In January, a judge heard Borland’s claims that Callaway, a musician who records as Queen Kwong, violated an anti-defamation clause in their divorce agreement by describing how a song on her recent Couples Only album referenced the grief she felt for a cat that had died after Borland made her leave the marital home...

Limp Bizkit guitarist Wes Borland, who cowrote the band’s “Break Stuff” and “Nookie” and also fronts his own group, Big Dumb Face, is using his ire at how an album review interpreted his ex-wife’s latest record as fuel for a legal action against her, accusing her of defamation. The filing also cites an interview that ex-wife Carré Callaway (aka indie rocker Queen Kwong) gave the same writer for another publication. Callaway rose to prominence using the Queen Kwong name about a decade ago, after her moody, personal music...

It’s been so long since Limp Bizkit hit the road for a tour that they forgot how to announce one. On Wednesday, Limp Bizkit shared a video with Rolling Stone about their Still Sucks Tour, which starts April 28, but they only sent us a Dropbox link so we can’t share it. Allow us to describe it instead.
“Ok, so like this is what Limp Bizkit looks like when they play live, so —” says Wes Borland, sporting a mid-life-crisis-dad-at-the-beach-with-his-kid-who-doesn’t-want-to-be-there look. “You mean the promoter would cut the video...

Ghostface Killah is set to release NFTs based around previously unpublished lyrics the founding Wu-Tang Clan rapper wrote over 20 years ago.
The latest high profile artist to jump in on the buzzy tech craze, Ghost tells Rolling Stone he was looking back through notebooks of old lyrics — some of them over 20 years old — as he was getting ready for the 25th anniversary of his debut solo album Ironman. He and his team decided those lyrics would be a good foot in the water to determine how the Nft marketplace would fit for him going forward.

Update 8/10: In an interview with Billboard, Fred Durst provided additional information behind Limp Bizkit’s tour cancellation. “In short, the system is still very flawed,” he said. “Even if the performers, crews, staff, and promoters do their best to ensure safety on and behind the stage, that doesn’t ensure the safety of the audience as a whole. We are all in this together, and we all — individually and as a whole — have to make our best efforts to be as responsible and proactive as possible moving forward to combat and stop spreading Covid.

The Possession of Michael King
Directed by: David Jung
Cast: Shane Johnson, Ella Anderson, Julie McNiven
Running Time: 1 hr 30 mins
Rating: R
Release Date: August 22, 2014 (Chicago)
Plot: After his wife is killed, a husband and father (Johnson) films himself trying to summon a demon to prove whether spirits are or aren’t real.
Who’S It For? Those who like bad horror movies, or are interested in seeing the latest horror movie with the word “possession” in its title.
Overall
The Possession of Michael King begins with a dead-horse stance, raging against the scam of fortune tellers. This thesis is simultaneously groan-worthy and emblematic foreshadowing of this juvenile horror film’s whiny angst, in which a man deduces that the fulfillment of his late wife’s tarot reading means that he must investigate the existence of spirits.
But instead of venturing as to whether heaven is fo’ real, or seeing...

When Limp Bizkit emerged out of Jacksonville, Florida back in the late 90′s, many felt they rode in on the successful coattails of Korn. Truth be told, Limp Bizkit was and is a completely different band: they always have been. While Korn was often labelled as a hybrid between hip-hop, and metal, Limp Bizkit was perhaps, arguably, a more palatable version of the these two genres.
Unarguably, they rode a less blurred line between the two styles of music while Korn opted down the road of true innovation, adding elements of funk, electronica and other hybrid elements. Limp Bizkit, once considered to be on the same plain of respectability as Korn, settled into their place in the music world, falling into the ranks of the many other ‘nu-metal’ bands littering the airwaves throughout the 90′s and 2000′s.
Now, time for a story:

Kat Von D has revealed that her long-awaited debut album will feature drums by “dearest friend” Dave Grohl.
Late Thursday night, the tattoo artist and "L.A. Ink" star tweeted out “Dave Grohl is ruling so hard right now!” to her 1.5 million followers from a recording studio.
This isn't the first time the two have helped each other out: last year Von D tattooed large feathers on his forearms.
According to her tweets, Grohl and producer Danny Lohner (of Nine Inch Nails fame) finished two tracks last night. She snapped a photo of the two over a mixing board. “Recording this music w my dearest friends makes this album the most important thing I've ever poured my heart into. While many might feel this article is a violent blast from the past, the intense theatrical and creative expression Limp Bizkit encompasses through their delivery, message, stage presence and theme remain unmatched by most. Of course, the music industry would still thrive without them and the presence of hundreds of other bands that also “kick holes in speakers” prove that the art remains alive, but no one quite does it like Limp Bizkit.

Fred Durst revealed during a recent interview that Limp Bizkit is "over." But instead of crying over lost "Nookie," the Twitterverse asked, "Is it 2002 again?"
Durst told rock magazine Kerrang! that Limp Bizkit, which first formed in 1994 and became most popular in the late 1990s and early 2000s, is officially donzo. (Well, kind of.)
Via NME:
We don’t play back home. We’ve boycotted America for many years now. I don’t know, I just don’t wanna go out like that. We did a few radio shows in 2010 for a friend and that was it. We haven’t properly toured America since 2006.
The reason? We just don’t know what’s going on in America. It’s all about the new catchy thing and that’s always changing. America is driven by record sales. It’s the home of corporations. We’re just Limp Bizkit, so we don...

It was only a matter of time before doing it all for the nookie would no longer be enough. Sadly, that time may be now, as Limp Bizkit—who, um, everyone definitely knew was still very much together—today officially announced that they were calling it quits. Or did they? Before you doff a cap (preferably a backwards-angled red one) and bemoan the day the music died, you might want to hear out one of Fred Durst's (not so?) former bandmates. "Lb has not called it quits," guitarist Wes Borland tweeted in rebuttal. "That article is insane. Thanks for your concerns, but we're all good over here." As it happens, "that article" resulted in the immediate trending...

Lil Wayne has made no secret of his affinity for rock and roll. The Cash Money Mc loves strapping on a guitar, and though his detour into rock on the 2010 album Rebirth didn't click with fans as much as his hip-hop efforts, Weezy wasn't shy about cranking up the amps and paying homage to the rap-rock fusion sound of the 1990s.
So it kind of makes sense that he announced on Thursday that one of the icons of '90s nu-metal, Limp Bizkit, would be joining the Ymcmb roster.

Limp Bizkit frontman Fred Durst served up a treat for fans online on Wednesday, November 24, when he gave them a sneak peek of the band's first record in over 10 years. The group has been blighted by fall outs between Durst and guitarist Wes Borland, who quit Limp Bizkit in 2001 and again in 2006 after a number of well-publicized fights.
His departure marked the start of a long hiatus for the group, but the pair healed its rift and reunited the act with bassist Sam Rivers, drummer John Otto and DJ Lethal in February 2009. They began recording their fifth studio album, "Gold Cobra "- the follow-up to 2000's "Chocolate Starfish and the Hot Dog Flavored Water" - six months later.
And Durst gave fans a peek at its progress during a live web chat on Wednesday, playing snippets from a series of tunes, including a song featuring Wu-Tang Clan's Raekwon. Durst...

The Saw 3D soundtrack. The last piece of the puzzle… is you… and Chester Bennington out of Linkin Park…
Yes that’s right folks, just when you were recovering from Justin Timberlake’s decent performance in The Social Network, Mr Shut-Up-When-i’m-Talking-To-You has thrown his hat into Hollywood’s increasingly ludicrous ring by portraying a man at the mercy of the killer Jigsaw in Saw 3D. Think back, if you can, to the nightmarish state of rock and roll in the late '90s. Recall the thudding riffs, the macho posturing, the turntablists. Shudder at the memory of Woodstock '99, the Family Values Tour, and moshpits filled with red-faced, shirtless frat guys all looking to abuse and/or murder you. Recoil from the terror. The dread. Here's the thing about the recently reunited Limp Bizkit: Sure, it's been more than five years since they last released an album — 2005's The Unquestionable Truth (Part 1) — and even longer since they've been free of any sort of intra-band strife, but in a lot of ways, it's like things have never changed for them.
Especially when it comes to Gold Cobra, their new album (which is due this summer). It's the first time the band's full lineup — Fred Durst, guitarist Wes Borland, bassist Sam Rivers, drummer John Otto and turntablist DJ Lethal — have recorded together in more than a decade, and it's far from a rusty, dusty affair. The bass still booms, the riffs still crash, and Durst sounds like he's having an absolute blast.

Today we celebrate the birth of one of the more controversial performers of the last two decades. Fred Durst, the red-hatted frontman of Limp Bizkit, turns 39 years old today. Back in 1997, Durst's band stormed onto the rock scene with a bristling mix of metal, hardcore, hip-hop and Red Hot Chili Peppers-esque sex funk. The group first gained attention with their extra-loud cover of George Michael's "Faith," but they made the crossover into superstardom with 1999's Significant Other (which featured the hits "Nookie" and "Break Stuff"). Durst became a staple on "Trl" and — along with his friends in Korn — built a tiny nation of disaffected suburban youth.
His career has not been without controversy. In addition to being accused of inciting riots at Woodstock '99, Durst has had public altercations with stars like Creed's Scott Stapp and Stone Temple Pilots' Scott Weiland, while he's claimed in public...

It has been eight years since the original lineup (including just-returned guitarist Wes Borland) has played a show in North America. Limp Bizkit will be reuniting for a spring world tour and new studio album. Confirming the news are the band's vocalist Fred Durst and guitarist Wes Borland in a joint statement on their official website.
"We decided we were more disgusted and bored with the state of heavy popular music than we were with each other," so the statement read. "Regardless of where our separate paths have taken us, we recognize there is a powerful and unique energy with this particular group of people we have not found anywhere else. This is why Limp Bizkit is back."
Fred and Wes furthermore explain that they will kick off their tour by playing in several international festivals including ones held in Eastern Europe and Europe. After that, they promise to perform in Russia, Ukraine, and the Baltic countries in late May. Details on their tour dates are still in the works and expected to be announced later.

There’s always room for a werewolf film, especially a werewolf film with a kick-ass soundtrack. The Underworld 3: Rise Of The Lycans soundtrack isn’t it, but I’m just saying - if someone wants to make a werewolf film with a kick-ass soundtrack, as opposed to 16 tracks of insanely over-mixed break-beat-dub-core-schlock, that’d be alright by me.
Every song on here is a bastardised remix of the original, and that’s fine, if the originals are by Gilby Clark and Power Station. If you’ve got The Cure and Maynard James Keenan working together, what in God’s name are you doing remixing it?? That’s like bringing Christopher Nolan and Christian Bale together to make Batman and then having it re-cut by McG. In other words - not prudent. Not prudent at all.
