- Branko Lustig was born on June 10, 1932 in Osijek, Croatia, Yugoslavia. He was a production manager and producer, known for Gladiator (2000), Schindler's List (1993) and The Saint (1997). He was married to Mirjana. He died on November 14, 2019 in Zagreb, Croatia.

- Lustig, a Croatian Jewish survivor of Auschwitz and Bergen-Belsen concentration camps, made a cameo appearance in Schindler's List (1993) as the maitre'de of an exclusive SS popular nightclub.
- At the age of 78, Lustig returned to Auschwitz - where he was once a prisoner - to celebrate his bar mitzvah. Because of his imprisonment in the extermination camp, he missed his rite of passage as a 13-year-old boy.
