Mayumi Tanaka, the voice actor of Monkey D. Luffy, the captain of the Straw Hat Pirates in One Piece, might have found the perfect replacement who can take over her role as Luffy. Tanaka has been voicing Luffy for almost thirty years, and she has done a great job portraying the character over the years.
Luffy in One Piece
However, as she is getting old and the series is still a little far away from the conclusion, the creators might have to find someone else who could do justice to the character of Luffy. This has also become a major concern for Eiichiro Oda, the creator of One Piece. Oda never imagined that the series would go on for so long.
In an interview, Oda talked about how Masako Nozawa, the character who voiced Dr. Kureha in One Piece, offered to take Tanaka’s role as Luffy’s voice actor in One Piece.

In 1986, when the first episode of Akira Toriyama’s Dragon Ball was released, no one knew that the series would become a pillar of the anime industry. Dragon Ball was the first series that introduced the anime world to a global audience, and even after 40 years, the series is still making waves.

Dragon Ball is one of the most legendary franchises ever created. The amount of success the anime genre has acclaimed over the years can be directly attributed to the late Akira Toriyama sensei. Without him, the genre would have never been as successful as it is today as he penned one of the greatest fictional stories ever. Due to his love for the story, he was involved with the anime and made sure to be present for the audio selections for the characters as well.

Anime fans will probably enjoy “One Piece Film Red,” the latest feature-length extension of manga artist Eiichiro Oda’s popular comic series and, as of this writing, Japan’s highest grossing movie of the year. Everyone else will likely struggle with this particular action-fantasy since most of its singularly appealing qualities — its J-pop score, attractive character designs, and impressive computer graphics — get bogged down by the project’s nature as the 15th theatrically released movie adaptation of a manga series that started 25 years ago.
An introductory “original story” credit for Oda clearly indicates that pre-existing fans are the ideal audience for “One Piece Film Red,” which continues the adventures of happy-go-lucky pirate Luffy (voiced by Mayumi Tanaka) and his misfit gang of spell-casting seafarers. Thankfully, this new “One Piece” movie, which mainly concerns a super-powered pop singer and her misguided plan to destroy all pirates, might also please newcomers thanks...

I know this probably goes without saying, but POKÉMON is kind of a big deal. Sure, the video game-turned-every-other-medium isn't as popular in the mainstream as it was in its heyday in the 1990s, but it's a franchise still beloved by children and gamers of all ages alike.
Now it looks like a few studios are in a secret bidding war over the film rights to the video game series. According to THR, Legendary currently seems to be the frontrunner, nudging aside WB, who has reportedly also been aggressively pursuing the rights. Sony is also reportedly interested.
Also according to THR, the prospect of Legendary Entertainment winning the bid could cause some trouble, given that Legendary is owned by a Chinese company and the Pokémon Co. is a Japanese one.

If you've managed to check out either season of Daredevil, or the first season of Jessica Jones, you'll know that Marvel is really doing the Lord's work on Netflix. Where the Marvel movies in theaters tend to be big, fun, and family friendly, their Netflix shows are smaller in scale, and darker in tone. But that doesn't mean they're any less ambitious than their cinematic counterparts.
Ever since Daredevil first took to the streets of Hell's Kitchen last year, Marvel Entertainment knew they'd want to cross him over with three other street-level Marvel characters: Jessica Jones, Luke Cage, and Iron Fist. Like in The Avengers before them, The Defenders will likely pit these four superheroes against some force or villain that none of them could handle on their own.
It's definitely a great idea, but like with any comic book property, there is always room for things to go wrong.

A couple years ago, John Wick pretty much blew everyone away. As much as many loved Keanu Reeves, he isn't necessarily the most dynamic of actors. But with this action flick, he managed to find a role that catered to all his strengths. What's more, the fight scenes were amazing, the emotions more than serviceable, and the mythology intriguing. John Wick seemed perfect for a sequel, and that's exactly what we're getting.
Work for John Wick: Chapter 2 has been underway, and before the CinemaCon awards, Reeves managed to have a chat with Collider and talk about whether or not they have anything in store for fans after the sequel.
Here's what Reeves had to say:
“I love John Wick. We had an amazing time making this story. I can’t say that we’re not geeked about continuing the idea and the character. We have some really cool ideas.
