- Yuriy Volyntsev is Soviet and Russian theater and film actor, People's Artist of the Russian Federation (1984), laureate of the 1994 Russian State Prize for the performance of the Vakhtangov's State Academic Theater "Guilty Without Guilt" based on the play by Aleksandr Ostrovskiy. Yuriy Volyntsev was born in Leningrad. He studied at the Shchukinskiy Theater School (course I.M. Rapoport), at the end of the school in 1962 he was accepted into the troupe of the Moscow Vakhtangov Academic Theater. He voiced many animation characters, in movie he was filmed mainly in episodes. Yuriy Volyntsev is best known for playing the role of Pan Sportsman in the humorous television series Kabachok 13 stulev (1969).
