This film isn't all that bad.It just isn't very good.Although this was released as a feature,the plot has TV Movie written all over it.Gibran Brown is pretty endearing as the little kid,and both Cassavetes and Billy Dee Williams turn in competent performances,but both have done much better work.If you really want to see John Cassavetes light up the screen,watch "Mikey and Nickie" with Peter Falk.In this film,he just looks too tired.
