A SPLENDID PURVEYOR OF SILENT CINEMA COMEDY AT WORK.
12 March 2004
This two reeler offered by the Al Christie comedy factory features cherubic Bobby Vernon as a freshly embarked Swedish immigrant who quickly creates chaos as a plumber's helper in his athletic manner, with a particularly strong comic effect as this is one of the later Christie productions that includes a definite script of which the baby-faced former juvenile star takes advantage during the fast-moving affair that is enriched by contributions from veteran stage comedian Billy Engle, as well as from marvelous cartoons by Norman Z. Mcleod that illustrate the titles.
