I was glad to see a British film that portrays London (my home) in a fresh and original way - creating a real atmosphere of isolation for the lead character.
The film is Sugar Sugar and although it appears to have a low budget it aims high. There is action, drama and a large dose of violence, which make this film standout.
Sarah Manners plays the title role and she has a real attitude about her, and I see some of myself in her. I enjoyed the mystery of her story and am glad I had not read any spoilers about the plot when I saw the film as it kept surprising me with original characters and twists.
I hope you enjoy the film as much as I did. I can promise you it is original with a real mischievous dark streak running through it.
