Get a Clue (2002 TV Movie)
7/10
Not a total waist of time

Warning: Spoilers
~(Mild Spoliers)~

This movie is basically an all around mystery movie. It deals with spy gadgets, do-hickeys, and hidden cameras. But is is an okay film. The characters seem to be around 13 or 14. But in real life they are all about 2 years older at least. The plot of the story is somewhat weird, but it has one of those plots like the ones that could only happen once in a million. There are some boring jokes in this, but the movie is overall entertaining enough to be said it is good. The characters that did a good job was especially Lindsay Lohan who played Lexy. She actually acted as the character throughout the entire film. The movie takes place in New York City, and we all know that that is a pretty big city. So I do not understand why the parents of Lexy actually let her roam the streets of New York City alone with her 1 or 2 friends that are with her.

(Beginning of spoiler) One other thing that I find odd is how the majority of the students in Lexy's school has a cell phone in which they bring to school. In most schools nowadays, cell phones are not allowed, except for after school uses. In the movie, they use them during their break and stuff like that. I can see with it taking place in a big city that they would have them on account of having to stay in contact with their parent or guardian, but it just seemed like too many people had them. They were also using the cell phones before school. Who would you have to talk to on your way to school? (End of spoiler)

(End of Spoilers) The person I think that did not do the best job of acting was Bug Hall who played Jack. He just seemed like a regular person with an exceptionally bad haircut. On the Disney Channel they showed this commercial a lot of times. And not just this commercial, but the music video as well since a song was written for the movie. The song that they played was okay, but it was a song that you would not prefer over your favorite. Basically all of the other characters did a good job. The last issue that I have with this movie is how Bug Hall, Lindsay Lohan, Brenda Song (Jennifer), and Charles Shaughnessy (Detective Meany/Falco), were all in other big Disney movies and Disney Channel Original movies. Overall I did not think of this movie as a waist of time or a waist of money for the producers. In conclusion, with all of the points that I have drawn out, I give this movie a 7 out of 10, or ***/****. If you have some spare time and nothing to do, this movie is not a total waist of your time.
