Edel & Starck (2002–2005)
The German answer to Ally McBeal
7 August 2002
This is a funny German TV series about a male and a female lawyer and their modern single lives in Berlin and their weird clients, situations and cases. It's obviously inspired by "Ally McBeal", especially by the use of dream sequences, visions and other illustrations of the lawyer's thoughts, but with more fun and less hassle about love, sex and relationships. In fact, the conversations between arrogant lawyer Felix Edel and his female colleague Sandra Starck are more influenced by the witty screwball comedies of Frank Capra or Howard Hughes, and this very funny series has got the right touch to become a small TV cult classic.
