Great!
18 December 2004
I saw this film in July 2003 at the MEP ("maison européenne de la photo") in Paris and I really loved it! It looks like an old photo-album because of the colors. You never know whether you're really somewhere or in a dream, because it's often hard to tell where the actors are. I didn't know Sarah Moon before, but now I wouldn't miss any of her expositions! I really like David Lowe, I saw him in Jeanne D'Arc and I found him great, but here he's playing a completely different part. In Mississipi One, he's a depressive father kidnapping his child and going in a sort of no man's land with her. He's quite cute with his curly, brown hair and his pair of glasses! He seems a bit confused and sad, sometimes he doesn't know why he did that and wants to stop. He doesn't laugh a lot, but when he is, he gives us all the will to laugh with him. For the little girl, Alexandra, I liked her too! She's looking so childish, but when you look into her big eyes, you have the feeling she's much older than you have thought! She's acting very well. Does someone know if she ever played in another movie?

Victoria.
