"mobiusstrip" is right. This film was nominated for 7 Oscars. I always remember this fact each year when the nominations are announced and the media make such a big deal if a film is nominated for, say, 5 Oscars. Seven nominations!!! I think that's pretty impressive. Unfortunately, it didn't win any. Although the title song was among the nominations, "Chim Chim Cheree (sp)" won that year. I was 15 at the time and was so upset! Patti Page sang it on Oscar night and her released single reached the top 10 on the local Top 40 radio station. I know I'm not alone in my opinion that Bette Davis should have been nominated for this film instead of Kim Stanley for "Seance On a Wet Afternoon." But look at what the Academy has been doing lately.
