I can't believe this film was so well-reviewed! I'm glad I didn't go to see it at the Cinema!
I just don't get it--the characters were all two-dimensional and stereotypical, the acting was mediocre, and the camera work was also two-dimensional.
This film had nothing that would make it special or worth watching, and the story-line was sentimental dribble. The music was just right for the story line.
Vera was so angelic and perfect, basically, not a real person...again, I do not understand all the great reviews it got in the UK -- the emperors new clothes anyone?
