Mind of Mencia (2005–2008)
3/10
A decent show, with a few laughs and racism.

Carlos Mencia may be smart and quick-witted, but there are two ways you can look at his show, and his comedy "style." He himself, and others see him as bold, and saying things no one else has the guts to. Others see him as a hack, who relies on Stereotypes, Racism, and a False Mexican Heritage for his jokes. I see him as the latter. Those who agree with myself aren't close-minded for not liking him, but he is close-minded for, well, about every d*mn thing that comes out of his mouth. When you sit and watch his show, sit and think, try and use your brain and really think about what they are making jokes out of. If you still think its funny, then you are a douche-bag. His show relies off of cheap humor, which may be effective to Comedy Centrals target audience, but is still cheap. I've watched most of the 1st and 2nd seasons of his show, and just got tired of seeing the same thing over, and over, and over. So please people, wise up, this show is funny, for the wrong reasons. I used to find him funny, and sometimes hilarious, but now, I'm sick of him, and this repetitive prejudice is the same reason why Dave Chappelle bailed on the third season of his show. The "speaking out" thing got old, and it was just plain racist at the end of the day, so he quit. Chappelle's Show was funny for his antics and actions, although many based on his being black and using the "B word" and the "N word" were funny in a different way.

So, you can watch this and enjoy a very, very cheap laugh, if there's nothing better on TV.
