The F.B.I.: Slow March Up a Steep Hill (1965)
Season 1, Episode 4
10/10
A most atypical episode!
17 August 2006
Warning: Spoilers
This episode, only the fourth out of 240, was so atypical! Pursuing the villain isn't the focus here. Inspector Erskine's personal issues, exposed in episode 1, seem to be dealt with here. What stands out is how we really get into his persona, and see what happens with him, his daughter Barbara, SAC Jim Rhodes and Joanna Laurens, played by Lee Meriwether.

The dialogue is crisp, and the guest stars, especially Pete Duel and Harold Gould, are excellent!! I don't recommend this sort of episode as the the rule for The FBI, but something like this is well worth watching, because you get to see the human side of these characters.
