Boring Rape/Revenge Film That's Weak On The Rape And Revenge...
2 September 2006
Warning: Spoilers
THE LONELY VIOLENT BEACH starts out much like any other film of the genre, then goes distinctly downhill from there. I was really hoping for a rough and sleazy rape/revenge film, and instead got a poorly acted and pretty dull drama.

A husband and wife go to a beach house for a getaway, where they are assaulted by a biker-gang. Two of the four gang members rape the wife while the husband is bound and taunted. Eventually the couple escape the clutches of the gang, just to realize that the wife has fallen in love with the gang-leader, Freddie. The rest of the film degenerates into a drama about the strained relationship between the husband and wife after the "revelation", and also the tension within the gang as jealousies arise from Freddie's "claiming" of the wife...

THE LONELY VIOLENT BEACH starts out as a relatively decent exploit film and then tries to turn into something "bigger", which doesn't work. It might have, had the acting been decent, but pretty much all the performances are weak and forgettable. The rape and violence sequences are also un-notable and won't be anything special to any fans that watch this sort of material. Only recommended for die-hard exploit completeists, anyone else shouldn't bother...4/10
