So this isn't the best film of the year. It was still enjoyable, and the acting wasn't as bad as some people would have us believe. Julia Stiles was much better as Paige, and had more chemistry with Luke Mably, but I still found this enjoyable. (And yes, I noticed the "Princess Diaries 2" similarities, but how many variations on a theme can you get?) I didn't rent it expecting an Oscar-worthy film, I just wanted a good old chick flick. I wanted to lose myself in a fairy tale, and I did. If you know what kind of movie you're watching and don't expect greatness, you may well enjoy it.
My biggest problem was that the legal scholars in Denmark are all pretty dumb, if this movie is to be believed. The writers could've used a bit of brush-ups in the history department, too.
