Heavenly Daze (1948)
Talk about odd!

Warning: Spoilers
"Heavenly Daze," directed by Jules White, is one of the strangest of all Three Stooges comedies. Shemp dies and is told by his Uncle Mortimer (played by Moe), who just happens to be the keeper of the Pearly Gates, that he can remain in Heaven for good if he goes back down to Earth to (invisibly and inaudibly) reform his cousins Moe and Larry. After spending Shemp's puny inheritance on an apartment, a butler (Sam McDaniel), and a pair of tuxedos, Moe and Larry try to sell a phony fountain pen that writes under whipped cream (!) to a wealthy couple (Victor Travers and Symona Boniface) for $50,000.

"Heavenly Daze" is unfortunately not one of the better or funnier Three Stooges shorts, but it does contain at least one memorable scene. The screwball fountain pen invention becomes a gigantic mess when it spatters whipped cream all over Moe, Larry, and their astonished guests; the pen itself jabbing Larry's forehead was a real-life accident.

"Heavenly Daze" might be safely regarded as something of a waste, but it IS rather interesting in its bizarreness, and Shemp at least gets to have a little slapstick fun with Moe and Larry since they have no consciousness of him.
