I'm a huge B5 fan but...
31 July 2007
Warning: Spoilers
This movie is basically a 2 completely unrelated part story.

The 1st thing you will notice is that the 2007 CGI is a hell of a lot better than 1994 CGI that is for sure, or more importantly you get a hell of a lot more bang for buck these days.

As for the stories themselves, 1 is like a reverse Twilight Zone episode, and the other is a reverse Terminator.

In some respects it was great to see characters that have wised up a bit and not having to be put through the usual torture of characters being in the dark while we are screaming at the screen, "Its the guy in the black hat you doofus!!" metaphorically speaking, you will see what I mean.

The other thing to note is the complete lack of actors compared to the series and other movies, and small sets when CGI wasn't used, money I guess, but who knows? In the end I'm sort of in 2 minds about this movie. It was great to see some more B5 stuff come out, but with Andreas Katsulas & Richard Biggs passed away, the story lines get somewhat limited without 2 characters that were major parts of the show, unless they were recast, and I can see JMS being burnt at the stake if he tried to do that, not by me though, but the stories in the movie would have been solid episodes on their own, but as a movie, well it was not really a movie, just 2 episodes that JMS wasn't able to shoot before, tacked them together, and called a B5 movie, which is probably where the disappointment really lies.

I wonder how many other people will feel this way?
