Targets (1968)
8/10
Peter Bogdanovich's big screen directorial debut.
11 October 2008
Warning: Spoilers
Written, produced, directed and even starring a young Peter Bogdanovich. Even now TARGETS generates and sustains some interest. The aging Boris Karloff is appearing in his last 'real movie'. Karloff plays an old actor mulling retirement, because he realizes that his style of horror just doesn't provide enough scare factor to compete for the attention of modern day film goers. He is scheduled to make a retirement statement live at the grand opening of a drive-in theater showing one of his older movies. The real excitement will be a sniper(Tim O'Kelley)on the loose in the dark drive-in racking up a body count. He hardly misses.

Others in the cast: Tanya Morgan, Monte Landis, Nancy Hsueh, and Arthur Peterson. Watch for product placement for Baby Ruth and Pepsi.
