This was quite a lavish and entertaining mini series. Surprised to see an epic on Spike! Good fight scenes with Carradine still showing the Kill Bill training. Daryl Hannah pulls off the jazz singer roll quite well.
Night one establishes Carradine hiding out in a kungfu monastery which is attacked by government forces. Seems like he is the only survivor of this gory fight which kills his mentor, an old woman kung fu master who raised him as a child.
In typical fashion White Crane" sets off for the big city to take his revenge on the rulers of the land. Great period pieces of 1930s Shanghai Definitely worth checking out.
