This is an original film and gets very high marks for the acting. All the child actors are very real and very intriguing. The main actor who plays Leon is actually extraordinary. The story-line is definitely demented and Leon obviously needs lots of therapy – actually he needs to be institutionalized! The interaction between the children is very well done, but this is not a children's movie.
There is really no resolution at the end, so Leon will just go on his merry way. This is the only weakness in the story that bothered me. Other than that it's got a lot going for it.
