This episode introduces us to a person from Catherine's past and how her work as a criminalist exposes the very one who helped her chart a successful career path. We see that Robert David Hall's chief medical examiner studied the Buddhist philosophy of the chakrahs and how the killer understood this which is why he chose to shoot the monks between the eyes. Pretty horrific crime in an episode which delves into Buddhism casting a positive light on the religion.
