I just stumbled across this movie on demand and hadn't seen it since it came out in 1987. I don't know if I was more disappointed then or now. V. C. Andrews must be turning over in her grave daily, disgusted to what was done to her incredible series of books.
This movie had so much potential to be a huge franchise and the idiot producers and directors killed it before it was ever released. Never have I anticipated a movie so much and been so disappointed at the same time.
This movie should be destroyed and remade with the integrity and honor of the book.
