Haley has to do community service for assaulting a police officer when she fell on him. Cameron comes in saying that he is upset a tree is being cut down for a parking area. Jay calls in Claire to take care of Gloria for the day. Jay leaves Manny at the game and feels uncomfortable around the other parents. When Mitchell goes to see what Cam is doing he is sitting in the tree to keep it standing, also having a women maybe play him in a movie about it. Cameron then has to go because his theatre group calls for him asking Mitchell to stay in the tree for him. Alex try's to get her revenge on Haley by getting a picture of her doing her community service. After some time Jay gets used to the other fathers. Alex trying to get the photo of Haley sees that she is getting messed up instead. Claire accidentally took a shirt from the store and has to go back in. Phil notices Jay is saying to much and he wants to be the funny one. Jay and Phil go into the ring and ends up beating him. Claire is told to sign a form that she will never come back to the store but then Gloria's water breaks as a distraction. Gloria then tells Claire she faked the pregnancy to get out of trouble. Cameron's tail gets caught in a tree and Haley is the one to get the bad photo of Alex. OK episode with the funniest plot being the one involving the tree.
