Maury Dexter is not a great director, far from that. He usually makes ridiculous movies, cheap, lousy at the most. Some are filmed in 2.35. The lengths are rarely over seventy five minutes, most are sixty minutes. This one is laughable at many moments. But the overall atmosphere is rather interesting. The sequence where the gangsters rob the bank with their frogmen suits is a must see. Lousy, but I love this feature. The very ending reminds me MELODIE EN SOUS-SOL, or THE KILLING.
