This documentary ends with Sandrine, Sabine's actress sister, at wit's end as to how to perk up her autistic sibling, indefinitely sentenced to confinement in a group therapy home. The obvious answer, in a single word: guns. Firearms are the solution to what ails Sabine, and it's really telling that in the mid-movie photo montage of Sabine's American vacation heyday, with its pix of Sabine swimming, jogging, biking, and horseback riding, she apparently never had a turn with one of America's 400 million guns. Like most autistic\Asperger types, Sabine suffers from chronic anxiety. Nothing can cure anxiousness like blasting a target to bits at the old shooting range. Next time Sabine feels like "acting out" by hitting a fellow patient or attendant, Sandrine should spring for a couple more Concorde tickets and line up Sabine with an AK-47 in this here land of the footloose and fancy free. There are plenty of shooting ranges within a stone's throw of JFK!
