4/10
Not as great as Tridev

Warning: Spoilers
After the success of TRIDEV(1989) which was a big hit and also had the famous song Oye Oye. Rajiv Rai tried to recreate the success 3 years later with Vishwatma(1992) which is a sequel to the original though the story isn't much connected, In fact Rajiv wanted to retain the original cast too but Chunky Pandey replaced Jackie Shroff. Sunny Deol was a not really successful during Tridev but after Ghayal(1990) he suddenly became very famous and his stardom increased but post Ghayal he didn't give many hits during the period of 1991 till 1993. His films like Narsimha, Yodha and some more crashed while some were average runners. Vishwatma too didn't really do that well as expected. This time Rajiv Rai made the film on an even more lavish, the film was set in Kenya. Rajiv Rai follows the same formula of Tridev, here too the villain is Amrish Puri with a blonde white wig, here too he has a gang of goons which include Tej Sapru(who was also in Tridev and later in Mohra) and others. The film starts well and slowly gets into action, There are some stupid scenes too which was usual in films of 1990s like Chunky Pandey alone taking on the entire gang, Gulshan Grover's some scenes are really nonsense. The film also falls short compared to Tridev and towards the end does get a bit lengthy but some action scenes are well executed.

Direction by Rajiv Rai is good Music by Viju Shah(who assisted Kalyanji Anandji in Tridev) is good, though it couldn't recreate the magic of Tridev, yet Saat Samundar was a big rage and made Divya Bharati a phenomenon, while other songs are good like Aadmi Zindagi and other songs, Toofan too is good

Sunny Deol is okay, though the role is more of an extension to Tridev Pre Ghayal days Sunny hardly shouted in films but post Ghayal he started screaming his lungs out in most films. Chunky Pandey does his usual nautanki, he mostly did those days he is laughable in his entry scene where he is supposed to be serious Naseeruddin Shah does a good job as usual Amongst actresses Sonam who is the actress repeated after Tridev is passable Divya Bharti was launched in this film and she does well Jyotsna Singh(who wasn't seen anymore in films) is wooden The rest of the cast mostly are repeated from Tridev Amrish Puri is okay but not as great as in Tridev, Sharat Saxena is hilarious as the Canadian Cop who keeps saying I Don't Understand Raza Murad is okay,Dalip Tahil, Mahesh Anand, Tej Sapru are as usual Alok Nath is okay,Kiran Kumar hams in a small role while Mangal Dhillon is as usual rest are okay
