A worker opens the gate and here they come. Dozens female workers with elegant dresses and even more elegant hats heading out, occasionally interrupted by male workers and dogs who wouldn't want to wait until it's their turn. They're chatting, laughing and just having a great time in general. Hardly any of the girl carry handbags and, lets be honest, when do you see a woman without a handbag on the street these days. It has turned into a must-have accessory for the majority of girls already.
Anyway, this one is another very short and very early film by the Lumière brothers. Right before the curtain falls, we see another canine, or maybe the one from a few seconds earlier, running towards the closing gate. Maybe his master is doing an extra-shift?
