This French farce offers little more than moderate entertainment. Admittedly, there are a few good jokes, e.g. when asked what the astronaut is reading, he replies "Twenty Thousand Leagues Under the Sea"! There are also some amusing situations, but many of these are drawn out to excessive length. In fact, the story is far too episodic to sustain interest, and this problem is compounded by Jean Dréville's humdrum direction. Even Paul Misraki's music score is disappointingly routine. As for the decisively poor dubbing in the English version, the less said the better. Even Mischa Auer does not use his own voice – except when speaking in Russian!
