An amusing french crime comedy

Warning: Spoilers
A rare french comedy directed by Marc Allégret. Darry Cowl gives here a rather good performance as an ordinary guy impersonating a ruthless killer, in a drug traffic case involving the mob. OK, you find here the usual stuff for this kind of features. Nothing really new in this movie. A good time waster, especially with Francis Blanche. Adapted from a Clarence Weff novel that I never read. So, I can't tell if anything here is faithful from the book.

Srangely there are some violent sequences here, some good gunfight scenes certainly not in the mood of the rest of the movie. Such as this one, just near the beginning, where Pierre Brasseur shoots a man hanged at a meat hook.

Worth watching for the french rare film seekers.
