Review of The Identical

I saw "The Identical" and enjoyed it very much No, not a great film, but a fantasy.. with true warmth and feeling. Yes its based on The Elvis Presley story that he had a twin,, who died at birth. This film shows what if this were not true... Twin survived but due to the depression parents could not afford to keep 2 children, . So they give one child up, with difficulty to a minister and his wife ( Ray Liotta& Ashley Judd) who could not have children.. Everything is explained believably... Drexel ( Elvis) & Dexter( brother) are separated, and Dexter is given to Minister & wife.. There's a lot of warmth and feeling in this film, and the actor Blake... (sporry forgets last name) plays the Elvis role so well, and looks so much like Elvis... and his twin survived, and captured (eventually) the same talents as Elvis ( Drexel) Dexter becomes Drexel after his death, and though ELVIS name is never mentioned but highly suggested.. I was moved to tears several times, esp, when Dexter realizes hes probably Drexels (Twin brother) This is the stuff dreams are made of. A few years ago there was a book & film written about The JFK assassination, Someone had a premonition about assassination, and stopped it.. This is the same type of film that haunts us of the possibility IF ??? Go see it well worth it Not a great film but much worth seeing do not dismiss'The Identical" Mike P. 9/7/14
