In the words of Lloyd Christmas, 'I like it a lot"! The movie was indeed dumb & that's how people like it.

Warning: Spoilers
Dumb & Dumber To; did not tarnish the original film, work, but it didn't live up to it. It was just alright. Written and directed by The Farrelly Brothers, it reunites the two stars of the original movie, Jim Carrey and Jeff Daniels, as Lloyd Christmas & Harry Dunne, respectively. The movie has the two dimwitted protagonists go on a cross country road trip to try to save Harry's life by obtaining a new kidney from his long-lost daughter. The movie seem to follow the same formula that 2014's 22 Jump Street seem to do, by hitting all the bad sequel clichés by being self-aware. The movie is nearly the same carbon copy of the original film with a few changes. It still has the chemistry between the two main actors that we love. While, the characters look way older, they seem that they haven't change since the original film. Still, it was a bit, disturbing and unfunny to see Lloyd Christmas having a crush on Harry's supposedly daughter, Penny (Rachel Melvin). It kinda turn me off the film, somewhat. Other things that didn't help is the supporting characters, the movie had. They were alright in their roles, but they weren't really funny. It's nice to see some of the original supporting characters have cameos in the film, such as Brady Bluhm as Billy from 4C and Cam Neely as Sea Bass. I didn't mind, Rob Riggle, Rachel Melvin & Lauren Holden in the film, but every time, they are shown, the film kinda dies down. Additionally, Bill Murray plays Harry's roommate Ice Pick, though you can't quite tell since he's wearing a mask as he is cooking crystal meth. I don't know why, they add cameos from famous comedians like Bill Murray, if they rarely used them. The only person, I can do without, is the cameo from Mama June Shannon from 2012's Here Comes Honey Boo Boo, Reality TV Show. She wasn't really needed. Most of the humor were indeed funny, but a few things kinda ruin the film, from being a great movie. The movie does use a lot of nostalgia recycle jokes such as dream sequence, words misinterpretation, and potty humor that seem old. One thing that didn't hit for me, such as the little pointless visit to see the resting house to get ear-aids. A lot of it, needed to be smarten up. The film could have been better. I was really hoping for something more. Films like 1996's Beavis and Butt-Head Do America had dumb characters, but a smart premise. This movie lacks that. Dumb and Dumber To, did underwent a production development hell, taking years for even a script that Jim Carrey can be happy with. One point, Carrey withdrawing from the project due to that. Not only that, the producers of Dumb and Dumber 2 accused each other of racketeering, to the point, that the matter, had to be settled in a federal court. It's really surprising that the fan base for this film, was really faithful. They indeed show up, on the release date to watch this film, even after hearing all the production troubles. Its shows how much the fan base is willing to take, just to see a long await sequel. Films like 2014's Sin City 2, wish they had fans like that. I think a lot of critics, might overlook; its faults due to the nostalgia reasons. The movie is indeed better than 2003's Dumb and Dumberer: When Harry Met Lloyd. I kinda like how the movie totally ignores that movie, and the 1997s animated series. The movie has a very weak-plot. It's so weak, that the film seem to drop it half way throughout the film. The reasons for the call of the adventure doesn't make any sense, and the movie forget to explain the huge gaps of logic. This cause the movie to riddled, by plot-holes, as the film felt like it was shooting wildly, without trying once to fit it all together. I think the movie tries to hold on the payoff of the jokes way too long, that it kinda makes the audience forget what was the punch-lined. The movie had a huge mess of a finale. At less, it had a sequel hook that might happen with a sets up for "Dumb and Dumber For". Overall: I guess people loves same old crap as the sequel was indeed very successful at the box office. As much as I point out the faults of the film, I kinda like the film as well. It was indeed entertaining. It's a must-watch for anybody who was a fan of the original film.
