The Christmas Box (1995 TV Movie)

Everything A Christmas Movie Should Be
22 December 2014
Warning: Spoilers
Sure, it's a little religious so if you're not Christian (I'm an atheist) it can get on your nerves, but The Christmas Box is everything a Christmas movie should be. Unlike Elf (2003) or Prancer (1989), The Christmas Box has no crude humor and it isn't too hokey.

This movie features a slightly dysfunctional family, but not so much that it makes the movie depressing. There's no swearing, no fart noises, no nudity and nothing that'd make it inappropriate for children. I put it on for my younger brother last night and he loved it. The soundtrack was great, the acting wasn't bad and the plot was creative.

If you want a nice, family-friendly holiday movie to watch, look no further! The Christmas Box isn't perfect but it's one of those movies that'll have you remembering the nostalgia of childhood Christmases in your past, rather than running for the door to go puke in the snow the way Elf and Prancer do.
