Honestly, i didn't expect much of this movie and it appears it's a great one finally. Sure, the story about lost lovers is the typical french depressive soup but Geraldine has an monumental part. Her Didine character really embodies all her qualities : a caring, soft, sexy woman. She seems fragile, sensible, very well educated and her distinctive, musical voice soothes you. Another good point of the movie is its choice of thematic : the helpers of old people. This is rather a taboo as their lives are usually not told, kept hidden and dismissed but here the movie asks the right question and offers a few answers. At last, the pace is rather dynamic, the scenes are a change from the bedroom conversations and the solitary walks. Once the movie begins, you don't want to left it. If it's a bit annoying to see Geraldine's lover played by her actual husband because it's the proof that French cinema is an aristocratic world, I would however recommend this movie as the proof that Geraldine is definitely one of the best french actress !
