Waste of Time, Rubbish
8 October 2015
Warning: Spoilers
This is a pro-Islamic storyline, and utterly derivative from much better thrillers.

The acting is awful, Charlotte Rampling made my dog hide under the sofa, she does the Charles Bronson emotion thing (imagine freezing your head and then trying to talk), or to put it another way, if you think of Judy Dench as M in the Bond movies this is what Rampling tries to do, but she is not believable, and instead of acting she just meaningfully smokes cigarettes all the way through, I felt like shouting "would you please put the bloody fags out and say something").

The action scenes are rubbish, how many times is Sean Bean going to drop his gun or get hit on the head, if he was ex military he'd have died more times than I did watching him fumble his various pursuits or shootings.

That scene when the terrorist turns his kitchen light off and escapes, and both pursuers (Bean and some plastic faced nerd in a nylon suit) choose to look upstairs instead of chasing after him, laughable.

The twist is pathetic and the demise of Rampling's character is schoolboy fiction. I want my 90 minutes back.

PS The fact that many intelligent people think this is how the security forces do behave doesn't make this a good movie.
