Faye Dunaway shines.

Warning: Spoilers
A guest role by the iconic Faye Dunaway is always promising. Then, it turns out that this episode is the only one ever written by Peter Falk himself. As a matter of fact, it seems to be the only thing he's ever written. The story is partly formulaic Columbo stuff, but the interaction with Dunaway's character is exploring beyond that, and having two killers work together (jilted lovers ánd related...) is a nice touch as well.

Maybe it is all a little too comedic and light, but then again, most of the Columbo episodes are. Dunaway shines and Falk is enjoying himself thoroughly as well. Good fun, and with some dark and rough edges here and there as well, considering the relation between the killers and the nature of their motive. Oh, and Claudia Christian deserves a special mention for sure; playing well, looking great.

A good 7 out of 10.
