insight into Gehry's work
18 December 2015
Famed director Sydney Pollack follows Frank Gehry around to try to decipher his method of creating some of the most original buildings in the world. Gehry was born Frank Owen Goldberg in Toronto. His family moved to California changing their names in the process. His unusual ideas about Architecture have not always been supported but he never wavered in doing the non-traditional.

Pollack is able to go right into the design process. I love all the crazy curves he imparts on his designs. He's got a lot of helpers. While it's fascinating to see the process, his concepts are not all self-evident. I don't know if I get his work completely. I guess that's part of his genius. There isn't much of an insight into his personal life but it is an interesting insight into his work.
