"The Twelve Steps of Jason Mewes: Get Greedo" is a 20-minute live action short film from 3 years ago written and directed by Christopher Downie. Given he was already a fairly prolific filmmaker and experienced at this point, the outcome is slightly disappointing. Also the film does not even come close to 20 minutes as a lengthy introduction and overlong ending credits reduce this film to under 15 minutes. That's not that bad though as it's not a particularly compelling watch. Maybe it would have been with Mewes and Smith playing themselves in here, but I guess especially Smith knew very well why he was only producing this film and not starring in here. One of the main characters is an addict and the other takes him on a trip in an attempt to acquire a Star Wars item and distract him from his addiction. Forgettable story and acting. Not recommended.
