When the episode begins, one of Marty Pulaski's dancehall girls is killed by a sniper. Not surprisingly, he assumes his rival (who owns MOST of the clubs in town) is behind it. Vince Bogan swears he's not responsible but Marty doesn't believe him...and kills him! The big boss is upset but willing to overlook Marty's indiscretion...until MORE girls start getting shot and it's now obvious Bogan had nothing to do with any of this! The real answer is much closer to Marty than he ever expected!
The other reviewer is 100% correct...a guy who kills dancehall girls is NOT the sort of thing a Treasury agent would or even legally could investigate. Their domain would be drugs, alcohol and counterfeiting and not much else...and "The Untouchables" so often has nothing to do with any of these. This is a major weakness of the episode...though this is also the problem with several other episodes...this certainly is NOT the only one.
So if you ignore reality and simply look at this as entertainment, is it any good? Well, if you ever were dying to see Paul Picerni (the guy who plays Ness' right hand man) do a bit more in an episode, you are in for a treat. What isn't a treat is watching SOME of Sherwood Price's characterization as he plays Herbie, Marty's brother. He is supposed to be deranged...but seems to play this all way too broadly and obviously! Subtle, he ain't! And, way off the deep end weird, too! The episode seems to have little to do with the series and comes off as a bit too goofy...almost cringe- worthy goofy! Not among the better shows in the series, that's for sure.
