Buck was overdue for an episode dedicated to him. The series was ignoring him lately almost as much as his family is. In this episode, he has had enough and decides to run away from home. But he is captured as a stray dog and put in a cage, and the Bundys must find him within a week or he will be put away. That is, IF the Bundys even realize that he is missing! This episode contains some of the funniest moments in the history of the series (Al bringing back "Buck", the "Lassie" theme, "She wanted something she could be comfortable in. I told her, try Wyoming! Now, I don't know when they allowed women to carry chainsaws...."), but the most fascinating little tidbit may be the show's first camera shot of "the fourth wall" - the Bundys have a cozy little nest after all! *** out of 4.
