It's 1948 Havana. Chico and Ramón are out in the clubs with a couple of white chicks. Chico is a young piano player and he falls head over heels for beautiful singer Rita. It's the start of a heated, tumultuous affair as they make beautiful music together across the world.
The animation and music have a wonderful energetic Latino vibrancy. The story itself is a Latino soap opera. I don't like Chico. He's both whiny and a slut. He's a dog. He's not appealing which makes it hard to root for this relationship. It may be better to have a solid love triangle instead. In the end, I can't bring myself to like Chico and his journey.
