Yet another opportunity for a free trip plus salary for international stars in exotic settings.

Warning: Spoilers
Some really good actors fail to take this stinker past lower mediocrity and even an open window wouldn't freshen the air. I tuned into this to see veteran actor James Mason and then newcomer Tom Skerritt star in a film with Australian star Wendy Morgan, and the result is a wretched film with a paper thin story that is not so much unbelievable, but extremely boring. As Bette Davis once said, "They never released it in the United States!", and that seems to be the case here.

The camera work is lousy, like it's mostly on eternal close-up, and at times, character's faces half disappear off the screen while they are talking. There are far too many characters, and the constant showing of the date is simply unnecessary. I found it very tedious to get into, and had it not been for the presence of the dashing Mason, I would have tuned out much sooner. I just hope that the visitors to Australia enjoyed their vacation, because there was absolutely no artistic rewards in being associates with this disaster, although the limited release did them no harm until it snuck out on DVD. You won't be seeing this at any James Mason retrospective, let alone Tom Skerritt or Wendy Morgan.
