I now realize what the previous "Stargate" movie was missing so much, Jack O'Neil! He was the most recognizable character from the series and I feel bad for not even remembering his name! Well, it has been literally years, probably more than a decade since I saw the actual show! This movie involves time travel and it's about as cool as it sounds. What I like is how everything isn't just resolved immediately. We actually get to see a year pass before the characters get everything back together. Okay, it's not a big part of the story, but it's quite nice. It's great to hear Jack's quips again.
This movie is done quite realistically. It's not just the standard style of henchman being easy to kill. Well, that was at the end of the movie where they do whatever they want, but that's still fine. It felt more like a movie than a long episode of the TV show. I'm glad to see these characters again which makes me realize the brief fun I did have watching this show a long time ago. We get great music and everyone works quite hard to be relevant to the story. ***
