Warning: Spoilers
"Quiz Whizz" is an American black-and-white live action short film from 1958, so this one has its 60th anniversary this year and it is another Three Stooges short directed by Jules White. At 15.5 minutes, it is among their shorter and it is also one of the later works which you immediately see by the inclusion of Joe Besser that means Curly and Shemp too were already dead at that point sadly. Still it is one of the rare occasions apparently where one of their later works seems original and not a remake of an older Stooges short movie. Once again, fraud and scam play a big role like in so many other works and actually everybody here cannot be trusted and just wants Joe's money. The trio as always play likable fools in here and the final scene says it all. Look at Moe still saying: ""we" tore it up". Anyway, all in all, once again I was not too impressed by this one and did not find it too funny. I would not say though that Besser is the reason as so many Stooges fans hate him. He did what was possible given the mediocre material. Overall, my suggestion here is that only the very biggest Stooges fans should check this one out. Everybody else can skip it or they will be about as underwhelmed as I was I guess. It's a thumbs-down from me. Watch something else.
