There are so many things to enjoy about this film; it's firm grasp of the logic of its implacable narrative, it's highly credible characters, the beautifully staged mis-en-scene, the sense of being given a genuine insight into a little known segment of Italian society, te delicious range of music, sometimes reminiscent of the most compelling Italian films of the sixties...
