6/10
The series gets cheaper, but, still a fun sequel.

Warning: Spoilers
Michael Gross takes over lead star duty for the third installment in the series which returns the film to Perfection, Nevada, roughly 11 years since the first films events. We get to see the return of some of the original films cast Nancy, Mindy, and Miguel return as does Melvin in a cameo. Fred Ward is gone (explained he and Grady when off to start a theme park). Gross does a nice job carrying the film as a whole, they give him the routine comedic sidekick in Desert Jack Sawyer which seems to be this series staple, but, surprisingly I didn't find him as annoying as Grady. On a sad note the films effects are pretty much all CGI, very little is practical, and since this is late '90s early 2000s CGI it looks pretty bad, that mixed with some stupid decisions made by the cast, kinda make this a little weak overall. Despite this being when the series kinda moves into Sci Fi Channel quality, "Tremors 3" is still a fun ride and writers S.S. Wilson and Brent Maddock both who wrote the original and directed the sequels know what it takes to make this franchise fun. Plus, the new flying creatures are unique despite the fact there title "Ass Blasters" sounds to much like a straight up porno.
